Acai Fruit

The acai fruit is actually a small little berry about the size of a blueberry home in the Amazon. You have more than likely heard about many products created with this awesome fruit such as juices, pills, gels, powders, and more. If you do not keep up with scientific research, you may not have heard about the amazing results of the acai fruit. Researches and doctors alike are now stating that the acai berry is a super food and contains minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants that are essential for our bodies to fight off illnesses while helping our bodies stay healthy and promote overall wellness. The true fact is that the acai fruit has more antioxidants than a glass of red wine.

The wonderful news about the acai fruit is that lab results have shown that the properties found in the fruit killed up to 86% of leukemia cells in a recent study of how the fruit would react when exposed to human cancer cells. The study was performed in a lab and went through various tests of human cancer cells in a Petri dish that resulted in 35% to 86% of the cancer cells being destroyed. The test was performed not with an actual human, but in a Petri dish, therefore the actual results on the human body are not available. The human body may not react the same way due to metabolism and other functions of the body. However, these antioxidants may be the super food that can actually prevent cancer cells from developing, even though more research is needed to know exactly how the acai fruit will react in a human host.

The acai fruit does not only contain antioxidants that may help in the fight against cancer, but many other properties that can aid in keeping our bodies healthy such as anthocyannis, omega 6, omega 9 fatty acids, fiber, calcium, amino acids, magnesium, iron, potassium, vitamins, B1, B2, B3, C, and Vitamin E.

The acai fruit is about the size of a blueberry and is dark purple in color at the peak ripeness stage. The interior pulp found around the seed is the edible part that holds all the wonderful benefits. The acai fruit is found on a palm tree that is home in the floodplain areas of the Amazon River.

When asked the taste of this small berry many state it is similar to earthy chocolate berry, which is one reason many people, prefer this supplement than others on the market today as it tastes great.

Even before the discovery of the acai fruit, several indigenous tribes were already using the berry for the prevention and the healing of many illness including skin conditions and digestive disorders. Brazilians today use the acai fruit as a substitute for milk.

Today, you can find the delicious fruit throughout the world in products such as Amazon Thunder and MonaVie as fruit juices, to supplements in pill form.
