The Wonders of Green Tea Oil

Tea was hailed as a "miraculous medicine for the maintenance of health" and "the elixir that creates the mountain-dwelling immortals" by the twelfth century Zen priest Eisai. In fact this was very true to its nature, as tea is one of the best natural healing products, with all sorts of medicinal powers ranging from fat burning to antioxidizing free radicals.

Nature and Benefits

Green tea oil, on the other hand is a product of air-dried tea seeds. The seeds yield clear golden-yellow oil, which resembles any other vegetable oil. However, the seed cake contains saponin, which makes the oil not suitable for eating. Then this green tea oil is refined, stripped of its fatty acids, and bleached. After all the cleaning processes, the oil becomes suitable for manufacturing all types of product, such as cosmetics and cooking oils. Green tea naturally contains caffeine and the amino acid theanine, which is a product that is used for relaxation and rejuvenation purposes. This oil is not the same as the potable green tea that we can see everywhere; it is dangerous if ingested.

Oil from the green tea plant has been in use for many centuries as a source of healing body oils. Green tea body oils are one of the best healing oils that can help to reduce aches and rejuvenates the particular parts of the body. Many commercial green tea oil manufacturers produce this oil in bottled form to be used when for personal rejuvenation and also by professional masseurs.

Besides that, green tea oil is also a good perfume. This oil is normally used as home fragrance oil, where its high quality yields a crisp and fresh scent that is perfect for any room as well as for everyday use. This type of oil is usually slightly more expensive than the normal aromatherapy oils, because they are very rare in the market and production cost is pretty high. Despite the fact that they are expensive, many people love these oil products, simply because of the fragrance and the relaxation that they can provide.

Sometimes green tea oil is also used as an adjunct to green tea drinks as a source of medication for certain types of clinical treatments. These oils are famous when it comes to amoebic dysentery, bacterial dysentery, gastroenteritis, and hepatitis. And also, green tea is known to have anti-atherosclerotic effects and vitamin P activity, and so this is believed to be true of green tea oil as well since it's a byproduct of the tea seed.
