Because the tea has absorbed moisture from the flowers, it must be again fired to prevent spoilage. The spent flowers may be removed from the final product, in the lower grades of Jasmine they generally are not. As the flowers are completely dry and contain no more aromas, they add only visual appeal and are no indication of the quality of the tea. On the other hand, organic jasmine green tea, which is also called as "cloud tea" is from the Datzhang Xshan tea estate in the Jiang Xi province of China, where tea has been grown for several years.
