Green Tea Recipe

Green Tea or for that matter any tea is a very versatile beverage that can give you tastes and aroma depending on what method you use to prepare this beverage. There are many recipes for green tea and one of the most primitive of them being eating the leaves directly or brewing the leaves and drinking the tea or you can create you own recipe by adding a new product into the tea to give it that distinct flavor and taste.

Given below is a recipe for Candied Ginger and Green Tea Bread

In order to prepare the candied ginger and green tea bread, you will need an ice cream maker for this recipe. Any green tea, whether finely powdered or whole leaf, can be used for this purpose and the recipe has a slight greenish shade to it.

First put a baking rack on third rack of the oven, preheat the oven to about 350 degrees. Then we should put some oil on the loaf pan and then line with the parchment paper. Then take a large bowl and then mix the flour, ginger, baking powder, salt and baking soda and keep it aside. Then stir in the green tea, candied ginger and lemon zest and keep it aside. Then beat the eggs until they are light in color and frothy for about a minute in a food processor. Continue to keep the motor running and then slowly add sugar through the feed tube in 3 stages. With the motor running slowly add the sugar through the feed tube in 3 stages, giving a gap of 30 seconds between each addition. Then take a small measuring cup and combine the oil, lemon juice and vanilla. Then let the mixture go through the feed tube onto the egg mixture with the motor still running.

Then remove the cap of the processor and all the dry ingredient and blend the mixture. Remove the batter in a prepared pan and bake until any sharp objected inserted comes out clean at the center, around 55 minutes is required. Then remove the pan from the oven and let the bread cool for at least 30 minutes. After the bread cools down, you can remove the bread from the pan and wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and you can serve by cutting them into small pieces, preferably with a serrated knife.

Now we will see the recipe for preparing Green Tea Pound Cake

We should take two 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans which are buttered and lined with rectangle of buttered parchment or wax paper that should be cut to fit the loaf pans. Then set the rack in middle of the oven and preheat it to about 325 degrees. Then combine the flour, green tea, and baking powder, stir it well to mix. We should then combine butter and confectioners sugar in bowl of mixer. Beat the eggs for about 3 minutes until they become light. You should bet the egg yolks one at time and beating them well after each addition and scraping the bowl and the beater occasionally with a spatula.

Remove the bowl from the mixer and fold in the flour mixture by hand, with a spatula and pour the whites and salt into a dry mixer bowl. Then simply remove the bowl from the mixer and quickly scrape the whites from the bowl onto the batter in other bowl. With the help of large spatula you have fold the egg whites into the batter and fold it until there are streaks of white. Put the batter into the pans and bake the cakes for about 45 minutes. Bake it the cakes until a tooth pick when inserted into the middle comes out clean. Take it out and allow it cool and then serve.
