What is a Green Tea Dietary Supplement?

There are many different types of green tea dietary supplement available. There are green tea vitamins, green tea capsules, green tea gum, and even a green tea patch that are all readily available in order to allow you various choices, which all provide you with the plentiful beneficial qualities of the green tea.

In fact, it seems that everywhere you turn today there is a supplement being produced for some other and new product. The green tea dietary supplement product however, is one that you can trust undoubtedly, and without worry. This is because of all the extensive and proven research that has been done on green tea, and the plentiful beneficial qualities that arise from green tea.

What are the Benefits of Green Tea and the Green Tea Dietary Supplement?

There are many benefits that have been shown to arise from the consumption of green tea and a green tea dietary supplement, such as the fact that recent clinical tests show that the EGCG that is found in high concentrations in any green tea form, not only inhibits the growth of new cancer cells, but also - and just as importantly - kills some of any of the existing cancer cells, without harming any of the normal cells present.

It has been shown that this EGCG in green tea also reportedly inhibits the unnatural formation of blood clots, of which have been known to cause thombrosis, which is one of the leading causes of heart attacks and stroke.

Unfortunately though, as with most anything else, there are certain disadvantages that come with the seemingly completely positive green tea product. There is basically only one negative factor to green tea, which is the fact that green tea contains caffeine, and high doses of caffeine can be incredibly bad for the body. However, the caffeine count in green tea is substantially lower than that found in an average cup of coffee, and when you factor in as well all of the advantages, they far outweigh that of the disadvantages.

As well, if the caffeine factor really bothers you, you can always opt for decaffeinated green tea, or buy regular green tea and decaffeinate it yourself. Overall, green tea is an excellent choice for anyone who is looking to incorporate something healthy and nutritious into their diet. Studies prove that even one to two cups of green tea a day can dramatically produce positive results towards your health and overall well-being.
