A Few Great Reasons to Drink Green Tea

Green tea has been long enjoyed in the Asian nations for a number of reasons, including both health and taste. In recent years, many of the benefits of choosing to drink green tea have become apparent to the western world and the medical community. Below is a very brief discussion of some of these great reasons to drink green tea

Reason # 1: A Vacation from the Ordinary

Most Americans consume at least a few cups of coffee each day. Although there are countless different flavors available in the supermarket today, sometimes you want a true escape from the ordinary. With its grassy flavor and sweet, nutty aroma, green tea might just be the change that you're looking for.

Reason # 2: Green Tea Chock Full of Antioxidants

Green tea is something that has been enjoyed and drunk for its healing properties for centuries. Now, with the advances of science, the western medical world is beginning to see why. A great reason to drink green tea is because it contains antioxidants, which have been shown to aid in the growth of healthy cells, and increase the energy that is needed for daily life.

Reason # 3: Escape the Caffeine Jitters

For people, a drink of coffee can lead to something that I like to call the "caffeine jitters". Just about everyone has experienced it at some point; you drink that last cup of coffee, and your body feels like it's starting to shake in the anticipation of liftoff. Because of this, many people have chosen to give up coffee altogether. For these consumers, a different, milder form of caffeine intake might be a great reason to drink green tea. Most green teas, which are not decaffeinated, seem to have a milder effect on a person when it comes to the jitters caused by caffeine. The exact reason why this is so isn't exactly known, but for some people green tea is a much easier way to stay alert for their business day.

These are but a few of the reasons to drink green tea. There are many others out there, all dependant on your personal taste preference and what kind of health benefits you are looking for. No matter what your reasons, a simple drink of green tea will go a long way to making you feel better and more inclined to face the day.
